Missouri PSC consents ATXI’s construction of Mark Twain Transmission Project

Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois sought sanction from Missouri Public Service Commission signaling commencement of the Mark Twain Transmission Project encompassing a 100- mile, 345,000-volt transmission line and substation to be built in the northeast Missouri. The route will automatically run through Adair, Knox, lewis, Marion and Schuyler countries in Missouri including construction of the Zachary substation adjacent to the existing Adair substation in Adair country. The PSC also granted ATXI certificate of convenience and necessity for the project running from Palmyra to Kirksville in Missouri and north to Lowa border. Construction is expected to commence in April 2018 and end in December 2019.
