E.ON and Studierenwerk Paderborn to Install PV panel on Student Apartments

E.ON and Studierenwerk Paderborn is currently Installing PV panel on roofs of nearly 30 buildings to  provide solar energy to about 500 students in their apartments. The work was started in March and is scheduled to be completed during the second quarter of 2017.

Solar Panels has the total capacity of 347 kWp and these can generate up to 370,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which is enough to meet the needs of almost 150 households.

The building complex is ideally suited for the generation of solar power. About 60 percent of the buildings demand can be met directly by the panels installed on the roofs. Whenever there is sunshine, the electricity produced by the panels is primarily used for the student apartments.
