RES signs agreement to build a 30 MW ESS for San Diego Utility

Renewable Energy Systems (RES) announced about an  agreement with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) to build a 30 MW/120 MWh ESS (Energy Storage System) located in Miramar, a community of San Diego, California.

RES’ agreement with SDG&E provides engineering, procurement and construction services, along with a 20-year “full wrap” asset management and performance guarantee powered by the RESolve Energy Management System. SDG&E is awaiting approval for the project from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and anticipates construction beginning within the next 18 months.

RES’ contracted energy storage portfolio exceeds 175MW and 210MWh.
