NSW grants approval to 135MW Crudine Ridge Wind Farm

NSW Planning Assessment Commission grants approval to the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm owning a capacity of 135MW located 45 Km south of Mudgee.

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm project encompasses 37 wind turbine generators, internal access roads and electrical reticulation, a substation, switching station and 15 km of 132 kV transmission line. The project expected to commence construction in early 2018 and local suppliers and contractors are encouraged to register their interest by completing the contractor register.

The large scale renewable energy project will provide enough electricity to power 57,500 homes each year assuaging greenhouse gas emissions for 357,954 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. The wind farm will contribute over $160,000 per year to the community through the Mid-western and Bathurst Regional Council Community Funds to support local community projects and initiatives.
