Greensmith Energy Collaborates with E.ON to work on Energy Storage in Texas

Greensmith Energy announced its collaboration with E.ON North America to work on grid-scale energy storage system in Texas which will be using Lithium-ion battery technology to provide two 9.9 MW short duration energy storage projects. Projects will be in integration with the wind farm facilities near Roscoe and batteries will be charged from the wind farm.

The projects are designed to provide ancillary services to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas  market and will be capable of responding to shifts in power demand more quickly, increasing system reliability and efficiency.
