Enerkem and Sinobioway undertake licensing agreement worth over C$125M

Leading waste-to-biofuels and renewable chemicals producer, Enerkem asserted that it undertook an agreement with Sinobioway Group worth over C$125M for licenses, equipment manufacturing and sales, as well as creation of a major Joint Venture leading to the construction of 100 Enerkem state-of-the-art facilities in China by 2035.

Vincent Chornet, President and CEO of Enerkem said “Our breakthrough clean technology produces a much needed low-carbon transportation fuel and sustainable waste management solution to help China achieve its climate change objectives.”

The project set to enhance Enerkem’s global foothold especially foraying into the Chinese market and forging ahead thereby leading the league of development of Clean Economy thus quelling air pollution by producing renewable fuels from non-recyclable garbage.

Dr. Aihua Pan, Sinobioway’s Chairman claimed “We are excited to partner with a leading Canadian cleantech company to help meet our country’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and move towards renewable energy.”
